Romania
Two peripheric linguistic spaces often only meet by sheer coincidence, especially when it comes to literary works. Yet these coincidences are happy, fruitful ones. The translation choices thus far have multiple explanations: the involvement of the literary translator and his/her connections, interested publishing houses, the financial support from the Dutch Foundation for Literature and Flanders Literature and a stream of happy coincidences.
